Relaxing after the comp
Relaxing after the comp
Clippers members relaxed and happy after the judges feedback sessions. Our position is fourth on this occasion, behind Sound Connection, The Blenders, and High Altitude Harmony. For the record, we achieved an overall score of 65, a very significant improvement, which means we graduate to a B level chorus. This was a challenge set for us by Richard just three months ago.

Maori performance of Po Kare Kare Ana
Maori performance of Po Kare Kare Ana
It is interesting and informative to see an authentic Maori performance of this Maori love song, to inform our own renditions of this favorite in our repertoire.
The YouTube video link below shows a performance by a Maori dance and song group, which I recorded at the Maori village, within the hot springs of Rotorua. The song Po Kare Kare Ana originated from the Rotorua region.
